Sledgehammer's story

Sledge is a 16-year-old Percheron gelding. Before traveling across the country to become part of the Equi-Librium herd, he worked as a plow horse.

Currently, Sledge is receiving treatment for neglect and abuse he experienced during his former career. He's also in natural horsemanship training to help him respect humans' space (boundaries) and to help him cope with a neurological condition that can make it challenging for him to maintain his balance.

Despite weighing nearly 2,000 lbs, Sledgehammer is a teddy bear and loves snuggling with his new humans. We hope he'll be able to facilitate sessions with clients in the future!
